Either watch a movie in class or discuss a movie that everyone has recently watched. Discuss how leadership was incorporated into the plot of the story and also if some major conflicts could have been avoided by using leadership practices/traits.

You are getting ready to go to a concert with some of your friends for the start of the summer. How fun! But before you go, your parents left you a few chores to complete. You have to meet your friends at the concert, but before you go, you must complete 4 chores in any order you wish. Decide quickly- you don’t have much time!
Chores:
– Drop you little sister off at a birthday party (7 miles west from concert)
– Take your cat, Mathias, to the vet for his monthly checkup (10 miles east from concert)
– Go to the grocery store to pick up snacks for concert (5 miles west from concert)
– Return a DVD to the local store (2 miles east from concert)
In your groups, you will have 10 minutes to decide the order of the tasks.

You are to create a 1-2 minute skit depicting how someone can use leadership skills in the 3 different scenarios.
1. You are planning the next school dance. You must select a theme and make a plan of what to have at the dance (including food, music, and decorations.)
2. You are preparing your speech for the upcoming sports award ceremony at your school. All of you must decide on one speech and divide up who is saying which parts.
3. You are working on your group project for your science class. One of you does not want to do any work, but everyone must contribute.

Yes, I bet you’ve thought about doing this before, but now the time has come. It is time for you to create your own language. It can be based off of real languages or completely made up. It is up to you to create certain trends (such as most plural words end with -s), create a name for your language, and translate these 10 words into your new language.

In your group, you will have 15 minutes to complete this activity. When time is up, you will share your language and the translations with the class.
In your group, get a long piece of paper the width of a table. Also, get some markers or other drawing tools. Write the words, “My club is…” on the top of the page. Then, you will have 30 minutes to write or draw whatever you want on this mural; however, make sure it looks somewhat cohesive. After time is up, you can feel free to hang the mural in your classroom.

It’s your turn to become the next American Idol! Yes that’s right, you get to show off your singing talents (or lack thereof.) Use the theme of being trustworthy as well as any animal of your choice, create a 45 second- 1 minute song or rap. Be creative!
In your group, you will have 20 minutes to create your song and will present to the rest of the class when time is up. Feel free to add background music or dancing.

You are to create and act out a 2 minute story. You main character or object of the story should be created from the letters above: using any number and any order of the letters. For example, you could use the letters HEY.
In your group, you will have 15 minutes to pick your main character/object and then create your script. At the end of the time, you will present your skit to the class.
Choose your two favorite sports. Now it is your job to combine these two sports into one and create your own rules for this new game. Make it fun, but also be safe!

Your best friend’s mother has just called you to let you know that your best friend will be having her Sweet Sixteen (or Quinceañera) in two weeks. Not only did she call to invite you, but she also needs your help planning it. There’s a lot to do: renting the hall, getting food, sending out invites, and more! You friend’s mother put you in charge of the entertainment- the music during the party as well as the surprise performance for the celebratory dance half way through. She said you can pick anyone you want to perform at the party- but remember there’s a budget and a crunch for time! It’s up to you to make the entertainment a hit!
In your group, you have 10 minutes to decide on a playlist of 10 songs and a performer (famous or not) for the party. Also, make a plan of how you will get the music (hire a DJ, etc.) and get in contact with the performer. You will present your proposal after the time is up.
